Inaugural Harlem Fashion Week is on

Harlem Fashion Week

Here’s a reminder that the inaugural HARLEM FASHION WEEK kicks off uptown this week at the Museum of the City of New York on 5th avenue and 103rd street. Some tickets are still available for several shows and events.

Harlem Fashion Week will be an explosion of culture that will bridge the Downtown fashion hub to the Uptown vibe for a rich community experience. Our goal is to produce an event that will showcase the fashion industry, provide business education for emerging designers, grow Harlem businesses, create a cultural platform and just have fun!

The inaugural HFW will kick off with an opening night celebration on September 7th and culminate with Runway Shows on September 9th at the historic Museum of the City of New York on 5th avenue and Central Park. The four-day event will be hosted at restaurants, businesses and cultural centers all throughout the Harlem community and looks to attract 5,000 guest including, fashion industry professionals, members of the media, artists, entertainers, buyers and a host of VIPs
A portion of the proceeds from Harlem Fashion Week will be donated to the Junior Scholars Program at the Schomburg Library in Harlem and the Big Goree Project to restore the Slave Museum on Goree Island in Senegal, West Africa.
