This Saturday, May 3rd,  ImageNation presents the opening night premiere of Shawn Batey’s documentary film “CHANGING FACE OF HARLEM” at 7:30pm, followed by a special discussion that will include the cast and crew, and an opening night after party featuring our good friend DJ Jeannie Hopper of Liquid Sound Lounge spinning some soulful House music.  The evening will also include Food by Harlem Tavern and Best Yet Supermarkets, and drinks.  The opening, and a limited 5-day run (May 3rd to May 7th) of CHANGING FACE OF HARLEM will take place at the RAW SPACE Cultural Gallery, located at 2031 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. in Harlem. (on 7th Ave. between 121st and 122nd street)

“The one-hour documentary examines the revitalization of Harlem told through the deeply personal stories of its residents, small business owners, politicians, developers, and clergy. Identified as the birthplace of the Black Renaissance, Changing Face of Harlem takes a critical look at Harlem’s history, early development, and its present transformation. The film began production in the year 2000 and was shot over a period of ten years.”
