It’s My Park Day in Harlem
Do you know about “It’s My Park Day”? It’s all about cleaning up litter in parks, planting bulbs, painting park benches, and more. There are several “It’s My Park Day” events in Harlem this weekend, including in Morningside Park this Saturday from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and in Thomas Jefferson Park on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. If you can’t make it this weekend, there are a bunch of It’s My Park Day events scheduled around the city in October and November. Come on out!
“How does It’s My Park Day work? Partnerships for Parks invites dedicated community groups to organize It’s My Park Day volunteer projects and free cultural events in their neighborhood parks. Volunteer activities range from horticulture to painting projects, along with a variety of free events, including kayaking, dance performance, and much, much more!
YOU can help! On It’s My Park Day, Partnerships for Parks invites you and your family to help care for and celebrate our parks! Search for a project and register here online starting in late April.
