“Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together” Benefit Telethon Tonight on NBC Universal

Harlem was spared the wrath of Hurricane Sandy, compared to Staten Island, Long Island and Jersey shoreline areas, but we can all help out the many victims during this difficult time.  NBCUniversal will broadcast “Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together“, a benefit telethon across multiple television, radio and digital platforms tonight, November 2nd, from 8 – 9 pm/ET.  You can catch the show on NBC, Bravo, CNBC, E!, G4, MSNBC, NBC Sports Network, Style, Syfy and USA channels, as well as HBO, Discovery’s Fit & Health and Velocity networks, and The Weather Channel.  Online, the event will be live streamed on NBC.com, Fandango, iVillage, weather.com, nbcnews.com,  Xfinity.com/TV, Hulu and over 100 Gannett-owned websites, including usatoday.com.

NBC “Today” show anchor Matt Lauer will host the “Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together” telethon from the New York studios of NBC at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, with performances by Christina Aguilera, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and Sting. Special guests include Kevin Bacon, Mary J. Blige, Tina Fey, Whoopi Goldberg, Joe Perry, Al Roker, Jon Stewart, and Steven Tyler. You can also expect appearances by Jimmy Fallon and NBC News’ Brian Williams.

All money collected will be donated to the American Red Cross relief efforts for Hurricane Sandy, providing shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance to those affected by disasters like Hurricane Sandy.
