The weather tonight will be perfect for watching an outdoor screening of the documentary film “Soul Train: The Hippest Trip in America” in Marcus Garvey Park.  The film celebrates the hit TV show Soul Train and its creator / producer Don Cornelius, and the FREE event will also include performances  by up and coming recording artists. The evening is programmed by Injoy Enterprises and co-presented with ImageNation, the Real Harlem: Historic Harlem Parks Film Festival, and the night will also include an attempt at the longest Soul Train line ever, so come on down and participate.

Directions: take the 3 train towards New Lots Ave and exit 125th st near intersection of Dr. Martin L King Blvd and Lenox Ave. Walk down to 122th St and turn left.

This documentary is on Soul Train, the legendary TV series established by the late Don Cornelius.  Cornelius was The Man responsible for a new era in Black expression. A trained journalist, Don created a media empire that provided an outlet for record labels and advertisers to reach a new generation of music fans.
