Dreamgirls returns to Harlem
The Harlem Repertory Theatre is opening its 2012 season with an intimate chamber version of Dreamgirls.
Ten actor/singers will perform two settings: Act One will be played in the proscenium theatre at the 133rd Street Arts Center. Act Two will be performed in the open loft space on the third floor of the same building.
Keith Lee Grant will direct and choreograph the production. Mr. Grant will focus on the emotional development of the characters.
The show will feature beautiful gowns, outstanding vocals and the energetic, astounding performances which are the hallmark of the HRT.
