11th Annual “A GREAT NIGHT IN HARLEM” at the APOLLO THEATER
REMINDER: The Apollo Theater will host the 11th Annual “A Great Night In Harlem” concert this Thursday night at 7PM-9PM, with over 40 legends of jazz, R&B, blues, and Rock ‘n’ Roll joining special guest Quincy Jones. Presented by Jazz Foundation of America, this event will feature performances by Macy Gray. Dr. John, Randy Weston, Bono, Bettye LaVette, Paquito D’Rivera, George Wein, Rebirth Brass Band, Treme Brass Band, David Johansen, Stanley Jordan, Sweet Georgia Brown, Essie Mae, John D. Holeman, Lakecia Benjamin, Grace Kelly, BIll Saxton, Kansas City Band: Steven Bernstein, Curtis Fowlkes , Don Byron, James Carter, Craig Handy , Victor Lewis , Geri Allen, Mark Whitfield, Art Baron, Jerry Dodgien, Kenny Davis, Ambrose Akinmusire , Frank Greene, Ray Anderson, and the organizers promise some other surprises as well.
