TEDxHarlem conference to be held at Harlem’s Riverside Church

The venue for the first ever TEDx Harlem conference has been switched from the Apollo Theater to Harlem’s Riverside Church in NYC. TEDxHarlem will run from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, this Tuesday March 27th.  The Price of entry is also more affordable now. The organizers posted the following message explaining the venue change:

“In an effort to provide the best possible access for all of the Harlem community and supporters, the organizers of the TEDxHarlem conference slated for Tuesday March 27 at the Apollo Theater, have moved the event. TEDxHarlem will now be held at Riverside Church, 490 Riverside Drive, Harlem, NY.”

This year’s TEDxHarlem event is titled “Creating Waves” and the thought is that an idea can happen in one place but the impact can be felt somewhere else. In this construct, Harlem has given the world some of the most prolific, innovative and “exciting people and art forms that we are still experiencing today across the globe. It is this movement that TEDxHarlem seeks to celebrate and build upon in making this inaugural event an amazing and unique experience.
