Chef Marcus Samuelsson’s Red Rooster Harlem restaurant featured on 1st Look
This weekend, NBC 4 NEW YORK’s “1st Look” television show headed uptown and featured an excellent look at Chef Marcus Samuelsson’s Red Rooster restaurant in Harlem. Highlighting Chef Samuelsson’s diverse ethnic background, the “Swedish meets southern comfort food” video below puts you right inside the restaurant, where you can almost taste the savory dishes influenced by Swedish, Ethiopian, and Soul Food cuisine.
By the way, Red Rooster is celebrating Christmas with a special “Julbord Prix Fixe Menu” on Christmas Eve.
“Our Christmas Eve celebration includes a unique Julbord Holiday Prix Fixe Menu that offers traditional Swedish Christmas Eve dishes like Gravlax and Helga’s Christmas Plate, featuring authentic recipes from chef Marcus Samuelsson’s own grandmother, including Swedish Meatballs, Swedish Ham, Jansson’s Temptation (traditional Swedish casserole) and Braised Red Cabbage. Since no Swedish Christmas Eve meal would be complete without the traditional warm spiced wine, Glögg; a glass of this enticing drink will be offered with the menu. The Julbord Prix Fixe Menu will be offered during Brunch for $45 and during Dinner for $55 in our general dining area.“
