The Museum for African Art brings African Experience Food Festival to Harlem

African Experience Food Festival 2011

Here’s a great way to enjoy some new flavors and culture this Saturday, October 1st.  The Museum for African Art is presenting The African Experience Food Festival right in front of the museum’s future home on Fifth Avenue and 110th Street in Harlem. This is a free event for the whole family, with music and plenty of activities for kids. You probably won’t be able to resist the smell of African cuisine from diverse regions of the continent that will be offered by a variety of participating restaurants, and a $5.00 food ticket is all you’ll need to chow down. There will also be live cooking demonstrations.

The African Experience Food Festival, brought to you by The Museum for African Art in association with Senegalese chef Pierre Thiam of Pierre Thiam Catering,  will take place all day Saturday, from 11:00 am-7:00pm.
